Matamata Piako District Council – Identification of Trees for District Scheme Inclusion
January 2007 – December 2007. Identification, inspection and production of STEM report on possible trees in urban areas worthy of protection via the district scheme.

Thames Coromandel District Council – Boat Ramps
January 2005 – December 2007. Identify district boat ramps, develop level of service statements and undertake a review of facilities in and around Whitianga in association with Opus Consultants. Prepare draft indicative options for alternative boat ramp in Whitianga.

Dunedin City Council – Logan Park Tree Management Plan
May 2007 – present. Facilitate workshops with park stakeholders, and develop a costed and prioritised long term tree management plan for Dunedin’s premier sports park.

Napier City Council – Investigate Use of STEM in Court Cases
March 2007. Survey the parks community to identify which organisations have used STEM in court case defences relating to trees.

Sicon Limited – Reserve Maintenance Contract Performance Auditing
February 2007, ongoing. Sicon Ltd is contracted by the Waimakariri and Selwyn District Council for the maintenance of their parks and reserves. Prophet IAM has been engaged to undertake independent monthly audits of a sample of sites to assess and report on performance of the contractor against contract specifications.



Waitaki District Council – Oamaru Public Gardens Review and Capital Plan
October 2006. Review the current service delivery and management of the Public Gardens, formulate a basic collections structure, and develop a 10 year costed development plan.

Queenstown Lakes District Council – Queenstown CBD Maintenance Review
June 2006 - July 2006. Review current contract arrangements for all services in the CBD, including refuse collection, litter bin emptying, pavement maintenance, sign maintenance, street sweeping and cleaning and graffiti removal. Interview contractors to ascertain current regimes. Develop appropriate service standards and recommend future procurement strategies for CBD maintenance.

Auckland City Council – Domain Wintergardens and Nursery Review
May 2006 – March 2007. Undertake a comprehensive review of the Wintergardens and nursery operation. Tasks include benchmarking against similar operations, undertaking a user intercept survey, a quality assessment of the Wintergardens displays and standard, investigation of partnership opportunities with the adjacent Museum, review contract documentation and align with best practice, provide a 10 year capital renewal plan for the nursery site, and recommend a way forward for the operation.

Dunedin City Council – Elderly Person Housing Grounds Maintenance Audit
March 2006 – ongoing. Undertake 6 monthly inspections of a sample of sites and compare maintenance standards against contract specifications. Formally score sites for the purposes of determining contractor track record and contract extensions.

Central Otago District Council – Parks Maintenance Tender Evaluation
February 2005 – March 2005. Review of non priced attributes for tender document, development of a tender analysis sheet, and evaluation of submitted proposals.

Queenstown – Lakes District Council – Regional Tree Maintenance Contract
October 2004. Develop a combined tree maintenance contract for Gore DC and QLDC, tender, evaluate tenders and appoint appropriate contractor. Develop a consultant management contract for managing tree contract for 3 year term.

Masterton District Council – Contract Estimate
April 2004. Prepare a contract estimate based on a newly developed specification for reserves maintenance prior to tendering of major reserve contract.

Waitaki District Council – Reserves Maintenance Contract
December 2003 – June 2004. Prepare a new reserves maintenance contract and specification for negotiation with current contractor.

Rotorua District Council – Aquatic Centre Revenue Review
August 2003. Review revenue and entry charges and identify options for new charges to achieve revenue targets following facility upgrade.

Waimakariri District Council – Oxford Community Buildings Cleaning Contract
July 2003. Prepare contract and specification for the cleaning of Community buildings at Oxford.

Waimakariri District Council – Reserve Planting and Maintenance Contracts
June 2003 – July 2003. Prepare contract documents and specification for native restoration planting and ongoing site maintenance for Northbrook Ponds reserve and Ashley Gorge Reserve.

Waimakariri District Council – Reserves Maintenance Contract
February 2003 – October 2004. Prepare a new reserves maintenance contract and specification. Lead tender evaluation process. Manage contract start up.

Auckland City Council – Contract Review
February 2003 – August 2003. Undertake an audit & assessment of operational contracts with a view to making recommendations on contract extension terms, if appropriate.

Waimakariri District Council – Signs & Hazard Audit
July 2001 – February 2002. Undertake an on site review of all parks and reserves and identify hazards on site. Record the locations and text of signs together with condition. Recommend the location of future signs, the sign type, narrative and priority for replacement.

Hamilton City Parks – Unit Productivity Evaluation
March 2001 – June 2001. Undertake a productivity review of the City Parks Business Unit. Report on the barriers to greater productivity, work methodologies and cost effectiveness of current services provided.

Gore District Council – Executive Placement
April 2001 – June 2001. Provide executive cover as acting Director of Community Services, Parks Manager and Pools Manager to cover long leave for three full time positions. Engaged to cover a period where Gore DC operated without a Chief Executive and where major projects were under construction.

Matamata–Piako District Council – Indoor Facility Tender Evaluation
April 2001. Evaluate tenders for the provision indoor facility management services to Council. Report on strengths and weaknesses of tenders and recommend preferred tenderer.
